We are kicking off the ‘23-‘24 season with a spooktacular Halloween Campfire Potluck Party!!!
Event starts at 6pm…I know, the listing says 5pm but it’s acting a fool.
Feel free to dress up in your favorite costume and bring a treat to share, if you like!!!
We will be playing a Halloween playlist, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have jam sessions for any musicians who would like to partake!!!
We will, as always, welcome any and all firewood donations in the form of firewood or cash donations toward firewood purchase. At some point, TLC will be purchasing firewood in bulk and will be extremely grateful to anyone who can chip in!!!
Once again, and I cannot express it enough, contributions to potluck and/or firewood are NEVER expected or required!!!
Your presence at The Lit Cactus is what’s most important!!!
Please bring your own chair and beverage of your choice!!!
All events are weather permitting. Oftentimes, the wind doesn’t die down until nightfall which will delay in lighting the fire, but I will keep a close eye on the forecast!!!
TLC “may” change location this year. I will keep everyone up to date on the location!!!
We hope to see you there!!!
This season is going to be EPIC!!!
SPECIAL NOTE:
Shirley Colbert will be helping out on potluck events by assisting in who is bringing what, as to help moderate some things and not exceed others.
Snacks and cookies are excluded…especially cookies

Skooliepalooza is the largest gathering of vehicle lifers in North America. The Ungathering of 2023 hosted approximately 1000 vehicles and an estimated 1500 people. We focus on the following core principles:
Skooliepalooza Moab 2023 is the first in a new series of organized events by the Skooliepalooza team. This is a ticketed event and you can receive free admission by offering to Volunteer. We are full up on volunteers, yay!
We are always on the lookout for something cool for you to enjoy in your travels. This event fits the bill!
On October 14, an annular solar eclipse will cross a small part of North America. EclipseFest23 is just 20 miles from Crater Lake National Park, and offers unobstructed views of the eclipse while surrounded by other eclipse chasers, families, campers, and outdoor enthusiasts.
Travel Oregon, RV Business, and The Oregonian featured the event. This will be the west coast’s PREMIER festival, centered around the annular eclipse occurring on October 14. Maybe it’s because the festival grounds will have food & drink, vendors & artisans, activities for the whole family, camping, and a SMASH MOUTH concert.
All-Festival Ticket ($120) gives you access to all three days of the festival…including the SMASH MOUTH concert!
This is the largest RV show in America, and it’s a must-visit for enthusiasts.
Vendors and manufacturers from all across the country show up to represent their RV-related products and accessories. It’s also a great place to learn about vacation destinations, listen to experts, and be some of the first people to view prototypes and new model releases.
RV Rebel Girl, the solo senior nomad, is haveing another Wheeled Wanderer’s Rendezvous. The event is being held at the Douglas Dam in Tennessee. Best to get your info from her YT Videos..
Skoolies aren’t as common as other types of RVs, but they’re still popular enough to host occasional camping events. The Bus Fair (a cute wordplay of bus fare) happens in Oregon during the summer. It’s a loose, relaxed event that features 30 unique skoolies that can be toured and explored.
There’s also live music, food trucks, local art vendors, and educational seminars about converting a school bus into a full-time camper. Check out this event if you’re interested in DIY conversions!
